The country an absolute monarchy. The current king, King Juan IV, is the 23st king in line of Solomun.

Yet, for many years the land of Solomun has found itself at war with the Independent Theocracy of Mountainia (ITM). ITM lies in the centre of the world's biggest country and was declared independent in 1963 after a civil war had taken place.

Politics: holy monarchy
Solomun’s biggest income is its petroleum-based economy. Because of the huge amount of petroleum that can be found in the country, Solomun isn't only the biggest country but also the richest country in the world. Petroleum refining is a very polluting job. Solomun’s carbon foot print is twice as big as the second biggest country in the world.

The importance of the petroleum refining is also visible in the flag of the country. The symbol standing central is an oil derrick.
King Juan IV has so far declined all proposals for a climate change conference.
Economy: petroleum
Solomun is the biggest country in the world. With its 14,378,728 square feet Solomun’s surface is almost a third of the whole world land area.
Despite its size, Solomun is sparsely populated. This is because of the deserts in the South and the mountains in the North that make the land hard to live on.
Most of the nation is employed in the petroleum-based economy. The majority of jobs in Solomun are manual jobs. Lots of people didn't receive a good education and are now lowly-educated.
This is by far one of the country's biggest problems regarding the future.
Demography: the people of Solomun
The harsh lands explain the high rate of low-educated people. There are lots of small villages in the mountains.

For the villagers it's hard to reach a school, so their children stay ignorant. Because of these mountain folks there is still a lot of superstition in the country.

Because of the size of Solomun, its climate is also very divided. In the South we have a very warm and dry climate with lots of deserts to be found.
More central in the country there is a continental climate.

The coast areas are enjoying a soft maritime climate. In the North however there is a cold, subarctic climate. Here you find a lot of mountains and valleys.
Geography: divided country, divided climate
